June Empties | 2015

Hey everyone! It's that time again! Time for my June Empties!

Hair
L'Oreal Hair Expertise Evercreme Intense Nourishing Conditioner in Camelina - This was actually the second bottle of this particular conditioner that I went through which definitely means something! I really like the smell of it (it's not too harsh,) and it make my hair silky smooth!

L'Occitane Repairing Shampoo & Repairing Conditioner for Dry & Damaged Hair - I received these both as a sample and I honestly wasn't too crazy about either one. It is a little bit minty but I didn't feel as though it stood out or really dramatically changed the state of my hair. I probably would have to try this our for a longer period of time to really notice any dramatic results. It is rather expensive for a bottle and I think I will skip out on purchasing the full sized version. I didn't have the greatest first impression of either the shampoo or conditioner.

Garnier Fructis Full & Plush Fortifying Shampoo & Conditioner - Again, these were samples that I got my hands on and the first thing that I have to say is that I really like the smell! I did enjoy using this but it didn't thicken my hair but I felt as though it did make it a little bit softer. Not sure if I could see myself committing to purchasing a bottle of either though.

Face
Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips (8 Count) - I have been repurchasing these for many years and still think that they are effective. I use it once a week on my nose (because I have white heads there,) and am always amazed each time at what actually comes off my nose! I am already on my new box and this is a staple in my skin care routine! I have even got my brother to use these!

Mario Badescu Flower & Tonic Mask (for ALL skin types) - This was mailed out to me as a sample and I did enjoy using it but I'm not completely sold on purchasing the full sized version. In general, I am not very good about remembering to use masks and that is why it took me a while to actually go through this sample. I have nothing bad to say about this product though because it did my face feel very clean, fresh and smooth.

Mario Badescu Strawberry Face Scrub - I honestly loved this product! It was effective at removing my 'lighter' makeup and I loved that the strawberry seeds really gave a good clean to my face! The jar smells delicious and if you are looking for a more 'natural' product, then this is it! I have already added this on to my list of things to buy when I make another trip to The States!

Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream - Let's cut to the chase: I wasn't a fan at all! I didn't care for the smell, it was very thick to apply and I honestly don't think that it did anything to my skin. I was given this as a sample and I don't really have any wrinkles because I am still young. That is probably why it didn't work out for me and that it wasn't my favourite. Would not care to use this product again.

ELF Makeup Mist & Set - I did go through another one of these bad boys this month. I can't get enough of this setting spray and it is one of my holy grail products!

Teeth
Aquafresh Extreme Clean Whitening Action Toothpaste - I received many of these samples at the CNE last year and it works. It is not my favourite toothpaste but it does the job. It is a very standard toothpaste.

Crest Tartar Protection Fresh Mint Paste - I was almost out of toothpaste and decided to pick this up at Wal-Mart because it was on sale. I actually ended up REALLY ENJOYING it! I would definitely repurchase and it is a larger size - 130 mls. I paid around 0.49 cents to 0.99 cents for it. Not too bad at all!

Hands
Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Coconut Lime Verbena - This has been a long time favourite smell that I have continued to repurchase over the years. It is described on the side of the bottle as, "zesty lime, lemon verbena and coconut water."

Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Bourbon Street Buttercream - This is a new favourite! It smells like baked goods and sugary, sweetness! It is described as, "a decadent salute to the flavors of New Orleans."

Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Southern Lemon Chiffon - I actually like this scent better than BBW's Kitchen Lemon hand soap! This smells more like a lemon meringue pie rather than the lemon itself. It reads, "this addictive dessert is a sweet southern tradition."

Vitamins
Nature's Bounty Hair & Nails Capsules with Biotin & Bamboo (150 pills) - I don't find that these work as well as the gummies from Nature's Bounty that I always rave about. These make my nails strong but not as strong as when I'm taking the gummies. I only bought this product because I went to MANY stores and could not find the gummies. I bought this because I had no other option. Another thing I don't like is that there is 'horsetail' listed as an ingredient and you take two boring grey pills twice daily. Not very exciting at all! I say stick to the gummies and I recently found them so I made sure to stock up while I still had the chance!

Anyway, that's about all for now. Sorry I didn't have many products to share with you this month. Keep in mind that I am still recovering from surgery and that played a key factor in my lack of items to show you.

Benefit Boutique in Toronto Experience

Hey everyone! A few weeks ago, I went to the newly opened Benefit Boutique on Yonge St. When I was walking up to the actual store, I noticed a sign on the pavement that mentioned that with any purchase of a product in-store, you will receive a free brow wax! I originally went there to give my brows some TLC so I was intrigued by that.

As I walked in they offer you a menu of their services so you can glance it over and purchase off the menu depending on what you have in mind.

As I looked around, I couldn't help but notice that the store had such a cool concept and there was a lot of pink. There is a modern yet old-feel to the boutique. Their branding is EVERYWHERE, even on their Tweezerman tweezers. I was browsing around and decided to try-out the Benefit Porefessional because I had heard nothing but great reviews about it.

I then sat down for my brow wax.

Keep in mind, I haven't let anyone touch my brows in more than a decade because I had a horrific experience when I was younger. The woman who waxed my brows right before I went to my middle school graduation, completely ruined the shape of them and left one completely straight while the other one was a very arched semi-circle. Needless to say, I cried before my graduation and vowed to never let anyone touch my brows ever again, other than myself that is.

I heard nothing but amazing things about their Brow Bar so I decided to give it a fair chance. They do something called Brow Mapping in which they determine the best shape for your brows given your face shape and how you want your brows to look like. They mark down the highest point of the arch, where the tail should end and the front part of your brow They then show you what they mapped out for you and then you tell them if you like it; if you don't like it, they will fix it for you and if you do in fact like it, they will begin waxing your brows.

My brow technician was fabulous and very meticulous. She did such a great job and I will definitely be coming back. She wasn't rushed and made sure to give me what I had asked for. She even asked if I wanted my brows to be filled in and I declined because I was heading to work. She just ended up filling the tails of them in.

When I was checking out, they offer you complimentary chocolate with sea salt. There is both dark and milk chocolate. They were delicious! They also gave me a sample of the Roller Lash to try at home. I plan on doing a first impression of this mascara in the near future. I also booked my complimentary brow wax during my birthday week and they are very efficient about it because I quickly received an email with the appointment confirmation.

I also appreciate the fact that there are tipping envelopes at the front cash so you can discretely put in the amount that you wish to tip and then hand it to your brow technician. There is also the option to tip using the debit/credit terminal. They really do go above and beyond here! I was thoroughly impressed and can't wait to go back! Great job ladies!

Quick tip to anyone that visits this boutique: If you are driving, just park on any of the side streets for free instead of paying at the meter on Yonge. Just don't leave your car on the street for too long!

Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner Review

Hey everyone! As promised yesterday, I am sharing with you my favourite water resistant, long wearing, long lasting, and overall fabulous lip liner! That would be the Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner! I bought mine in the colour Fuchsia which is perfect for spring and summer!

What's great about this lip liner is that it is self-sharpening! When you need to use this lip liner, you just simply twist off the cap and it is working it's magic! No external sharpener is required because it is built into this product! It's great for travel and for busy days when you need to freshen up.

I just love the application of it because it just glides onto my lips and doesn't feather or bleed after it's applied. The tip is small enough to precisely line your cupid's bow. Also, it doesn't have the smell of a pencil lip liner that you need to sharpen if you know what I mean.

This is a highly innovative product and I love how it is a matte formula without drying out my lips completely. I think this is a great product and I can't wait to purchase more colours from the line! Peony and Violet are the two that I have my eye on! As far as price point is concerned, it retails for $23 CAD and there are 16 shades to choose from.

My Current Favourite Eau De Parfum | Dolce & Gabbana - The One

Hey everyone! I thought that I would share my perfume that I have been reaching for quite often over the past few months which is The One by Dolce & Gabbana!

I first received a deluxe sample from Sephora and immediately fell in love with the scent and knew that I had to buy the larger version! For those who have never smelled it, I urge you to go to your nearest Sephora and inhale this amazing scent! It is a warm scent with florals incorporated in the mix, (not an overpowering floral scent) and it can be worn by different age groups. For example: my aunt has this very same perfume and I had no idea until recently! She has good taste!

The notes include: 'Bergamot, Mandarin, Lychee, Peach, Madonna Lily, Muguet, Plum, Jasmine, Vetiver, Vanilla, Amber and Musk.' My three all time favourite stand-alone scents are: amber, vanilla and I love a great musky scent!

I bought the 50 ml or 1.6 fl oz bottle which is not the biggest bottle but the second largest. I bought mine in The States at Sephora while they were having a 2x or 3x the points event so be sure to look out for those kinds of sales to be able to accumulate lots of points! It does come in other sizes such as: the rollerball 0.20 oz, 1 oz, 1.6 oz (the one I bought,) and lastly, it comes in 2.5 oz. They also sell The One lotion but I have never tried it so I cannot speak on it.

The packaging is very luxurious and also very sturdy. Don't tell anyone but I accidentally dropped my bottle on a tile floor and it held up very well! I was relieved to find out that both the floor and the bottle were still intact. Try looking for any scratches, dents or imperfections on the bottle from the photos and leave me a comment if you see any! But seriously, don't tell anyone because this is our secret!

And remember that a little bit of this perfume goes a long way and it is definitely long lasting so use it sparingly!

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for tomorrow's blog post about a lip liner that stays put on your lips! It ain't going anywhere honey!

How To Keep Your Oils In Check During The Hotter Months Using Neutrogena Shine Control Powder

Hey everyone! I have combination skin and during the warmer months, my oils on my face get out of control sometimes! I need a product to keep them in check! My go-to product to eliminate the shine and oil is the Neutrogena Shine Control Powder. It is colourless powder and if you're curious, the shade on the back is called 'invisible.'

Once again, you can tell by the collage that this product has been well-loved! It is definitely a staple in my make-up collection! I wouldn't just go out and purchase a brand new product for the purpose of this blog post because I don't think that's being real or truthful with all my readers. I will only ever mention products that I personally love and have used for a good amount of time. If I do mention a new product, it is because I haven't tried it out yet and either want your feedback on it; or I am going to try it out and will give my thoughts on it after I finish trying it out.

Enough with this little tangent/rant and back to this wonderful powder!

I didn't include a swatch of this product because it is a translucent powder and there is no colour to show in form of a swatch. Also, it won't oxidize or change the colour of your foundation because there is no colour to it! This powder is matte and I do not find it to be cakey at all! I don't find myself using a ton of product when applying it to my skin and I don't need several touch-ups throughout the day - maybe just one if I do remember to carry this product with me!

This is a drugstore product and I believe that I picked mine up at Walgreens or Rite Aid. It is also sold at Target and Ulta. I paid around $10 (give or take,) for this product and there are always promotions running on the Neutrogena brand for buy one and get the second one 50% off so be on the lookout for that!

My All Time Favourite Bronzer - NYC Sunny Bronzer

Hey everyone! Tonight I will be talking to my beautiful readers about my go-to bronzer that I have repurchased several times and it is my ride or die! I am now presenting you with the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny! (Excuse the beat-up packaging, it has been used many times and is clearly well-loved!)

It does not appear orange on the skin and is easy to work with; it is blendable and does not appear to be muddy. I also want to mention that there is no glitter in this bronzer - it is matte! So you won't have to worry about looking like a glittery disco ball when you step out the front door. NYC Sunny Bronzer has got you covered! I do appreciate the fact that it comes with a mirror that I occasionally use. It also comes with a little puff but I usually just throw it away because I prefer using one of my brushes (preferably Sigma,) to apply my bronzer. As you can tell by the photo above, there is a decent sized pan filled with product which is another pro. It is extremely inexpensive as it ranges from $3-$5 typically and you can get it at almost any drug store in your area. I believe that I purchased mine at Rexall or Wal-Mart.

3 Products I'm Currently Using On My Hair & If They're Working

Hey everyone! Today I'll be showing you the 3 products that I have been using on my hair for many months and if they're worth the money or not.

The product pictured above is the Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil which is a penetrating oil that is by Organix. The blue packaged one is the older version while the other bottle in the transparent bottle is the new packaging with 50 more ml. I have repurchased this several times and love it! I feel that it is definitely worth the money and it makes your hair very smooth! It is very inexpensive and I usually pick mine up when I am standing in the check-out aisle at Ulta while being surrounding by all the "last chance to buy me" beauty products. You don't need a lot of product for this to work on your hair and it smells great! I like to put this on my hair when it's wet after I get out of the shower.

Moving along to the next product which is the L'Oreal Kids Tangle Tamer for Wet & Dry Hair. I have only used this on wet hair but could see this working on dry hair. I have been using this for a couple years now and have finally come to the conclusion that it really isn't necessary in my hair care routine anymore. There are so many shampoos that are detangling and what not and this I admit, is a bit of a gimmick to me now. My hair isn't overly tangled after I get out of the shower and I think that this will be the last bottle that I purchase of this. For the record: I have bought the less inexpensive version of this product and it works just the same.

The last product I want to talk to you about is one that I purchased not the last time that I went to The States, but the time before that I believe and it's the L'Oreal Oleo Therapy Hair Expertise Deep Recovery Mask. Let me start off by saying that this hair mask is incredible! My hair after I wash it is so soft, smooth and brings back shine to my hair! The only thing I'm not a fan of is the smell. It does contain 6 different precious flower oils inside and it gives it a very flower-y smell that I'm not a huge fan of. That doesn't change my overall opinion of the mask however because it works great, is sulfate-free and is very inexpensive. My only concern is being able to find this mask in the GTA now because I was in one store and I ended up finding the same exact hair mask but the sign said that it was being discontinued.

Anyway, hope this helped some of you! I will be trying out more products in the near future after I am recovered a bit more from my surgery.

How To Clean Your Alex And Ani Bracelets

Hey everyone! I just wanted to come on here and share some tips with my fabulous readers on how I clean my Alex & Ani bracelets!

I went to their store in NY when I was there last month and I ended up purchasing the Shining Sea Expandable Wire Bracelet in the rose gold finish. I originally went in to buy another bracelet but after seeing how gorgeous and unique the one pictured below was (on the left hand side,) I quickly changed my mind. Also, what I didn't know was that during the month of May, this was one of their bangles of the month and I received $5 off my purchase. It was meant to be!

While I was purchasing my new bangle, I asked the gentleman who had been helping me how exactly I should be cleaning my Alex & Ani bracelets. He suggested the polishing cloth that retails for around $6 or so. I tried looking for this cloth on their web site and no luck! I think it may be exclusive in stores only.

I asked if there was any other way to clean or disinfect my bangles and he suggested using dish soap + a toothbrush or using a mild soap + water. For optimal results, it is best to give them a nice clean once every month. I asked him if I could go ahead and use baby shampoo instead because it is gentle enough. He agreed and told me that it should do the job. That is what I have been using ever since and it has been working great for me. I do use a toothbrush to ensure that I am getting all the bacteria, dirt and build-up off. It takes maybe a minute or two to give them a quick clean and I let them air dry completely before I decide to wear them.

In case you are wondering, the other bracelet that I own is the Eye of Horus in gold. It is my go-to and what I wear every single day. Keep in mind: I have had this particular bangle for over a year. It has gone through much wear!

Also, I hope that in the near future, Alex & Ani will begin shipping to Canada! I am subscribed to their email mailing list and always read about such great deals, but I can't partake in them because I am not a U.S. resident. I also want to mention that the few retailers that do carry the Alex & Ani brand in the GTA are for the most part, overpriced and just too far away to visit from where I live.

What I love about the brand is that each bracelet has a meaning and they give you little cards about the specific bangle you are buying so you can read up on it later! It feels personalized and I'm sure many people can resonate in one way or another with the described meaning. There's hundreds of bracelets for all different kinds of occasions and there's something for everyone. Check them out in-store or online!

Unexpected Finds at The Dollar Store!

Hey everyone! In case you didn't already know, I had surgery again, and I'm recovering right now. Anyway, I wanted to talk to you today about beauty products that you can find at a discounted price at The Dollar Store!

I was in a different city about a month ago and ended up checking out their Dollar Store. It's always fun to go to a store you normally go to but one that is away from home. Then you can always compare the similarities as well as the differences - well at least that's what I do! I was shocked to find these Ardell lashes there! They were even cheaper than when I go to Walgreens or Rite Aid in The States and buy them on sale! I bought the Ardell Spiky Lashes #386. They also had: ELF products, Revlon, Sally Hansen, Soft Lips and just so many more brands!

Next time you're in a city away from home, I would definitely encourage you to stop by The Dollar Store or any familiar store that you usually shop at, and see what they have to offer - it may surprise you!

My Current Favourite Highlighter - The Mary-Lou Manizer from The Balm Cosmetics

Hey everyone! Today I will be sharing my go-to highlighter at the moment which is The Mary-Lou Manizer from The Balm.

I think that the packaging is fun and it comes with a good size mirror. It is great for throwing in your purse if you are out-and-about. I wear this during the day and also at night. I can't get enough of it! I like to use this especially on my cheek bones as well as my cupid's bow. It really brings the light to all the right places on my face and it is very pigmented! There are not large particles of glitter and you won't be looking like a giant disco ball when you leave your house! I feel that this champagne colour will compliment a lot of different skin tones beautifully! I have a yellow undertone to my skin and it suits me wonderfully!

I have used this as a eye shadow before and it holds up on my oily lids nicely throughout the day (with help of a primer of course!) You can even apply this in your inner corners and under the brow bones for a nice shimmer! The only con is to apply with a light hand because of the pigmentation, it is very easy to go overboard and apply more than you would have liked!

I have finished an entire pan of MAC Soft & Gentle MSF in the past but I prefer this one by The Balm! Sadly, you can't buy The Mary-Lou Manizer at Sephora or Ulta. If you live in Canada, you can buy it in-store at Shoppers Drug Mart or I bought mine on Hautelook.

If depotting eye shadows is your thing, you will be able to easily depot this one. I haven't tried myself with this particular item, but I have an entire blog post dedicated on how to depot your makeup out of the pan so be sure to check that out!

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!

Until next time,

Berrz <3

Hope's Haul (shophopes.com)

Hey everyone! If you follow me on Twitter (and if you're not following me, then you totally should,) you would have seen that I tweeted that Hope's was having a Memorial Day Sale! It was 30% off their entire web site and they also always offer free shipping for both U.S. & Canadian residents!

It gets even better - they were actually offering double the discount on the actual day of Memorial Day - Monday, May 25th! The entire web site was 60% off even though they still had customers use the code MEMORIAL30 that day, it showed that 60% was actually taken off before you checked out. I didn't anticipate on purchasing so many items but with this great deal, I did not want to miss out!

I love the romper and can't wait to style it! It is lined and very comfortable to wear. It runs big on me so I will probably throw it in the dryer to shrink it a bit. There is a zipper on the side but I don't need to use it because I can just slip the jumpsuit on without using the zipper at all. The cardigan I have to be honest and say that I was disappointed with. I thought that it was going to be a solid black colour as that is what I seen in the picture online. When I received it in the mail, there are faded marks that are part of the print. I really don't like that. Also, there are no arm holes with this cardigan - you just kind of drape it over yourself. I have purchased numerous things from Hope's and this is the first piece that I'm not crazy about. I won't return it because it's too much of a hassle and I already cut the tag off as well as washed it to see if the textured marks would come off but they didn't.

I was able to score this gorgeous necklace for 60%! What isn't to love? The yellow colour really screams summer and I had no idea that it was going to come with matching earrings. It was really a nice surprise when I received this set in the mail. I love how they incorporated different chains as well as included lots of rhinestones! I can't wait to wear this necklace!

This was actually the first item that I purchased from Hope's when I first heard about their 30% off sale. I bought these in a size 6 and I feel as though they run a little big. I will probably end up buying inserts so that my foot will sit comfortably in the shoe. I do really love these heels and appreciate the little details that this shoe has to offer such as: the zipper, the print and not to mention the strappy part by the ankles!

These are the second pair of heels (and the last pair, I promise!) that I purchased. I was so happy that I was able to snag these babies for 60% off! There were only 2 sizes left when I was checking them out online and I usually wear a size 6 and these pair were only left in a 6.5 as well as another larger size. At first I was hesitant but then I caved in and bought them because I figured if anything, I could just go out and buy insoles to make these shoes manageable. Let me tell you that when they came in the mail, I immediately tried them on and fell in love with them! They run small and these heels fit me like a glove! They are probably one of the most comfortable heels that I have ever owned! I can tell that I will be getting a lot of use out of them as well as a lot of compliments on them because I have yet to see a pair like them!

Shoe Planet/Sirens Outlet Haul

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share with you a couple of pieces that I picked up yesterday at the outlet. They were having a sale and nothing in the store was over $10 which is a really great deal!

Let's cut to the chase...

Price List:
Skirts: $7.50
Tops: $5.00
Romper: $10.00

I wanted to get some pieces that I could wear in the summer time. That was my main focus on my shopping trip. I managed to store a ton of cute skirts in all different colours! If you're wondering about sizing, I purchased everything in size SMALL. Everything fits just fine for the most part. A few clothing items are slightly big on me but it's better too loose than too tight in my opinion!

TIP: There are NO change rooms and NO mirrors so pay attention to the sizes that you are selecting before purchasing them because all sales are final! It would be a good idea to bring a friend or a family member with you on your shopping trip for a second opinion if you are unsure.

Thanks for stopping by!

May Empties | 2015

Hey everyone! Today I will be sharing with you, all the products that I used up for the month of May and my opinions on each one!

Face
Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser - I really enjoyed this product! It removed all my makeup and the bottle lasted me a long time!

Up & Up Dual-Treatment Moisturizer (Oil Free) - Claims that it is an acne medication lotion with salicylic acid. Clears up pimples and moisturizes dry skin. It was a very basic and very standard moisturizer. It didn't do anything out the ordinary and it helped keep my pimples from getting out of control but I wouldn't say that it cleared them up.

Nair Moisturizing Face Cream - Hair Removal - Love this product, it's my holy grail. I have repurchased several of these throughout the years and am already on my new bottle.

Ardell Edgy Lashes in #402 Black - It claims to be: lightweight, easy to apply and comfortable. I would agree with the above claims and really got a lot of wear out of these lashes. I bought them on sale and definitely got my money's worth out of them!

Hands
Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Cucumber Melon - Very fresh and clean smelling. Great to use in the kitchen or the washroom.

Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Sweet Clementine (Fresh Picked Collection) - This was a great scent and they really captured the clementine scent and I would definitely repurchase! On the side of the bottle it reads: 'experience the perfect balance of sweet and tart that only clementines can offer.'

Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Winter Cranberry - This was a nice scent but I grew tired of it after awhile and I'm not sure if I would repurchase it. On the side, the scent is described as: 'frosted cranberries sprinkled with iced peach.'

Bath & Body Works PocketBac Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel in Paris Amour - I really loved this scent and received many compliments when I wore it. I actually would consider purchasing other Bath & Body Works products in this particular scent! It did indeed leave my hands feeling very clean! It claims to be a: 'powerful germ-killing formula enriched with Tahitian Palm Milk. Leaves hands feeling clean and virtually germ free.'

Body
Elizabeth Grant Natural Hand Soap/Shower Gel/Shampoo - I hated this product! I found myself going through it quicker than expected and it didn't do anything for my skin. I only used it as a shower gel and would never use it on my hair as a shampoo like it recommends! Also, there's no way that this could be a hand soap!

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Stress Relief Body Bar in Eucalyptus Spearmint - This is a larger bar of soap and I would recommend cutting it in half or even in quarters to get more use out of it. I however, used the entire bar of soap on my body and I found it to be too bulky and difficult to hold. I did however like the scent and the formula of the bar soap!

Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel in Alluring Avocado (with Aloe Aroma) - I have been using this brand for years and always like to try out new scents from them. This scent was pleasant but I wouldn't go out of my way to repurchase it.

Vitamins
Nature's Bounty C-1000 MG with Rose Hips (100 Coated Tablets) -  On the bottle it says that these vitamins are a factor in the maintenance of good health. During the winter months and the majority of spring, when I was taking these vitamins in conjunction with Emergen-C, I rarely got sick and before taking these two very effective products, I kept getting sick. These are my go-to products and will continue to up my vitamin C intake during the colder months from now on! You only need to take one tablet per day and they are very easy to swallow.

Nature's Bounty Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc with Vitamin D3  (200 Caplets) - This claims to help maintain bones and I was taking this in the morning before I ate and they were too hard on my stomach. I started taking them while I was eating lunch and that really helped. I recommend taking these with solid food. I am already on my second bottle of these. I know a lot of people are deficient in magnesium and this is a great supplement to take to boost it up. The only con is that you need to take 3 daily and they are ugly white pills. Just get past that and you'll be fine!

Samples
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara - This claims to be, 'Bigger, Blacker, Badder.' Here's the thing about this mascara: I enjoyed it after the formula dried up a bit. The second month of using this mascara was when I found myself really enjoying using it! I didn't care for it during the first month because the formula was too wet for my liking. Not sure if I could commit to the full size though.

Dolce & Gabbana The One (Eau de Parfum) - When I tried this sample, I knew that I had to go out and buy the full sized version. I bought it before I even finished this smaller bottle. It smells amazing and I urge you to go and smell it in stores whenever you can!

Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel (For All Skin Types) - It says on the packaging that it removes makeup, dirt and oil without drying your complexion. Non-foaming and formulated with papaya and grapefruit extracts to provide mild exfoliation. This product didn't do it for me because I need a cleanser that foams and this doesn't. I didn't feel that it was cleansing my skin deep enough either. That's just my personal preference and I'm sure that other people will love this product!

Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion (C & O Skin Types) - On the packaging, it reads that it is a cucumber infused toner with cooling astringent properties. I applied the product on a cotton round and it was interesting to see the green colour appear on it before I applied it to my face. Don't worry though - it won't appear green on your skin; it absorbs very quickly and no green residue will be visible.

Mario Badescu Collagen Moisturizer with SPF 15 (C & S Skin Types) - I thought that this was a great facial moisturizer for every day use. I would definitely consider purchasing the full sized version! It also protects your skin from harmful UV rays which is another bonus!

Yves Rocher Luminosity Reactivator (Elixir 7.9) - I used up 3 of these samples. When I applied it, it was not sticky at all and I used it before I went to bed. I didn't notice any dramatic results but I only used it for three days so it was hard to tell. They use Light-Botanical Technology which is an interesting read if you're interested!

L'Occitane Light Comforting Cream - It claims to be a non-greasy texture with shea butter and helps treats many different skin types. I used up 2 of these samples and I agree with the fact that it is non-greasy. I can't speak to the fact that it is good for different skin types because I only used it on my skin type which is combination. It is very hydrating and I enjoyed using this item. There was a lot of product in the sample and I was able to use it twice in a day. Once during the day and again at night on my face as well as down my neck.

L'Occitane Hydra Vital Cream (New Formula) - It claims to be a velvety cream with 48 hour hydration. It was nice to try this but it really didn't stand out to me. I would use it again, but this sample didn't sell me on trying out the full size version.

L'Occitane Precious Cream (New Formula) - Again, I enjoyed using this sample but it didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I don't know how they improved the formula so I can't speak on that unfortunately.

The Face Shop Oil Drop Anti-Aging Serum - I received this sample when I was in the mall when they were handing them out. Since I ran out of my full sized version of my moisturizer, I have been using up all my samples of any product pertaining to the face. I enjoyed that it was an oil and did absorb rather quickly. I have never heard of this product prior to being handed a sample of it. Overall, I'm not sold on it just yet.

Thanks for stopping by!

STAY CLASSY.
